In the case of the coronavirus pandemic, quarantine was implemented as a significant guideline to prevent the disease in many countries. However, despite the benefits of quarantine, there are also complications and problems. With COVID-19 shuttering schools and putting a temporary halt to face-to-face interactions, children and adolescents have a void in their schedules and social lives. Many are apparently turning and playing to video games to fill it. This situation made intensity and time children spend on social media and online games increasing. However, little is known about the relationship between emotional development and the time children and kids tend to spend playing video games. The aim of this paper is to determine the relationship between intensity of playing video games and emotional development in elementary students.
