Studi Fenomenologi: Pengalaman Caregiver dalam Merawat Pasien Hemodialisis Rutin

Merawat anggota keluarga secara rutin seperti pada pasien hemodialisis akan menampilkan karakter yang labil, ketakutan, kecemasan, gangguan tidur, keletihan, dan nafsu makan menurun. Masalah yang dihadapi keluarga (caregiver) dapat berupa masalah finansial, sosial, dan spiritual. Penelitian ini bertujuan mengidentifikasi pengalaman keluarga (caregiver) meliputi hambatan, motivasi, cara mengatasi masalah, dan alternative solusi yang diharapkan dalam merawat anggota keluarga yang menjalani hemodialysis rutin. Penelitian ini menerapkan metode penelitian kualitatif dengan pendekatan fenomenologi melalui wawancara mendalam untuk mengeksplorasi pengalaman keluarga dalam merawat anggota keluarga yang menjalani hemodialysis rutin. Dua belas partisipan diperoleh dengan teknik purposive sampling, data dikumpulkan melalui wawancara dan catatan lapangan kemudian dianalisis dengan teknik Collaizi. Hasil penelitian ini teridentifikasi tiga tema utama yaitu 1) sedih, lelah, dan pasrah kepada Tuhan dalam merawat, 2) hambatan yang dialami selama merawat, 3) alternatif solusi dalam menghadapi masalah. Proses yang dialami partisipan dalam merawat anggota keluarga yang menjalani hemodialisis rutin merupakan pengalaman yang sangat bermakna karena melibatkan dirinya sendiri dan hubungan interpersonal dengan pasien dan keluarga.References
