Abstract

Stres merupakan sebuah interaksi antara individu dengan lingkungannya yang menyebabkan munculnya ketegangan dan tantangan bagi individu. Mahasiswa baru merupakan subjek yang rentan mengalami stres akibat proses akademik dan pembelajaran di pendidikan tinggi, keraguan terhadap masa depan, dan adaptasi dengan lingkungan kampus dengan sistem pembelajaran jarak jauh yang diterapkan selama masa pandemi. Respon stres yang dialami oleh seseorang akan di respon dengan strategi koping yang diterapkan. Tujuan dari penelitian ini untuk mengetahui gambaran tingkat stres dan mekanisme koping pada mahasiswa yang menjalani pembelajaran jarak jauh selama pandemic covid19. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian deskriptif dengan menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif. Desain penelitian ini adalah survei, dengan sampel sejumlah 40 responden yang dipilih dengan teknik purposive sampling. Instrumen penelitian yang digunakan adalah kuesioner PSS-10 (Perceived Stress Scale). Analisis data dilakukan dengan analisis distribusi frekuensi. Sebagian besar responden mengalami stres sedang sejumlah 97.5%, dan hanya sebagian kecil 2,5% yang mengalami stres berat. Sebagian besar responden menggunakan mekanisme koping adaptif sejumlah 97.5% responden. Sebagian besar responden mengalami stres sedang dan menggunakan mekanisme koping yang adaptif.
