POTRET KUALITAS HIDUP PASIEN KANKER YANG MENJALANI KEMOTERAPI

Kemoterapi yang diberikan untuk pasien kanker seringkali memunculkan efek fisik dan emosional sehingga berdampak pada keberlangsungan dalam menjalani perawatan. Pemberian kemoterapi perlu dievaluasi agar efek negatifnya membuat kualitas hidup pasien menjadi lebih baik. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui potret kualitas hidup pasien kanker yang menjalani kemoterapi. Jenis penelitian menggunakan deskriptif kuantitatif yang melibatkan 86 pasien kanker yang terpilih berdasarkan teknik purposive sampling dengan kriteria inklusi yaitu pasien kanker stadium II,III dan IV, bersedia menjadi responden penelitian dan tidak mengalami gangguan komunikasi verbal. Pengukuran kualitas hidup menggunakan kuesioner EORTC QLQ. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa mayoritas kualitas hidup pasien yang kategori sedang sejumlah 59,3%, kualitas hidup baik 38,4% dan kualitas hidup buruk 2,3%. Kesimpulan penelitian ini adalah kualitas hidup pasien yang terkontrol dengan baik oleh perawat maka akan tampak kemampuan fungsional keseharian pasien sehingga akan berdampak pada nilai positif dari keberlangsungan hidup pasien. Perawat di sarankan untuk memotivasi pasien agar dapat mengikuti kemoterapi sampai selesai sesuai jadwal yang telah ditentukan.References
