Knowledge and Attitude about Prisoner Szikofrenia

The prevalence of mental emotional disturbance as indicated by symptoms of depression and anxiety. Schizophrenic mental disorder is a serious mental disorder that is estimated to have a very large risk of recurrence. In Indonesia, it is estimated that 2-3 per 1000 people suffer from serious mental disorders. Schizophrenic sufferers in the community from time to time tend to experience an increase even though efforts to prevent relapse have been carried out. This study aims to determine the knowledge of prisoners in Wirogunan prison about schizophrenia and to determine the attitudes of prisoners in Wirogunan prison towards schizophrenia sufferers. This study was a descriptive study with a cross sectional design, a population of 329 people and the sample of this study was taken by proportional stratified random sampling totaling 77 people. The knowledge of the assisted residents of the Class IIA Yogyakarta Prison regarding schizophrenia is still low, the assisted residents in Wirogunan Prison have negative attitudes towards schizophrenic sufferers and there is a relationship between knowledge about schizophrenia and the attitudes of the assisted residents in Wirogunan Prison towards schizophrenics.References
