ABSTRACT Background: Bullying incidents can occur in the boarding school because students live with other students in the dormitory for a long time. Bullying that is not controlled can cause mental health problems and reduce academic achievement. Assertive training using the De-more method aims to prevent and reduce the incidence of bullying in adolescents. Purpose: To determine the effect of assertive training using the De-more method on the incidence of bullying in adolescents at the Boarding School. Methods: This type of research is a quasi-experiment with a non-equivalent control group design. Respondents for this study were selected using proportional random sampling with a total of 86 people consisting of the experimental and the control group. The research instrument used the APRI-BT bullying questionnaire. The research results were analyzed using the Chi Square test, Wilcoxon test, and Mann-Whitney test. Results: The results showed the factors that influenced bullying were the environment and the teacher's role. De-more assertive training had an effect on the incidence of bullies, but had no effect on the incidence of victims of bullying. Conclusion: Assertive De-more has an effect on reducing bullies of bullying incidents, but has no effect on reducing victims of bullying incidents.
