Hubungan Efikasi Diri Dengan Tingkat Kecemasan Mahasiswa Baru S1 Keperawatan STIKes Swasta X Kota Bekasi
Abstract
Mahasiswa baru merupakan status yang dimiliki individu ketika menjadi mahasiswa tahun pertama di perkuliahan. Pada fase ini individu akan mengalami proses adaptasi dengan lingkungan barunya. Proses adaptasi yang dialami dapat menimbulkan kecemasan. Banyak faktor yang berkaitan dengan kecemasan pada mahasiswa baru salah satunya efikasi diri. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui hubungan efikasi diri dengan tingkat kecemasan mahasiswa baru Program Studi S1 Keperawatan di Sekolah Tinggi Ilmu Kesehatan Swasta X Kota Bekasi. Desain penelitian yang digunakan yaitu cross-sectional. Sampel penelitian ini merupakan mahasiswa baru Program Studi S1 Keperawatan sebanyak 109 orang dengan perhitungan sampel yang digunakan yaitu simple random sampling. Pengukuran efikasi diri menggunakan General Self-Efficacy dan tingkat kecemasan menggunakan State Anxiety Inventory. Analisa data melalui uji Chi-Square didapati hasil p value 0,000 (p<0,05) menunjukkan bahwa terdapat hubungan yang signifikan antara efikasi diri dengan tingkat kecemasan mahasiswa baru Program Studi S1 Keperawatan. Efikasi diri tinggi pada mahasiswa memunculkan rasa percaya terhadap kemampuan dirinya serta akan lebih berfokus dalam menghasilkan kinerja akademik yang baik dan dapat beradaptasi dengan proses akademik yang dijalani sehingga dapat mencegah timbulnya kecemasan. Sedangkan pada mahasiswa dengan efikasi diri rendah akan berpadangan negatif terhadap semua hal baik pada dirinya, merasa kurang percaya terhadap kemampuan dirinya, dan dalam situasi yang penuh tekanan akan mudah menyerah karena merasa tertekan sehingga dapat menimbulkan kecemasan.References
